Kontera is another good alternative for AdSense if you have good traffic. They use In-Text Advertising Which is bit different that AdSense Ads. Its that advertiser’s brand is linked to a relevant keyword appearing in the content of your websie which is matched to the advertiser’s ad.
Kontera doesn't work well it all niches but most of niches. More you have traffic better your earnings will be. You can run Kontera ads along with AdSene ads in same page so its a great. Also it won't effect your AdSense CTR much since they are totally different type of ads. Also Kontera ads don’t take up additional ad space. The ad units are “compact”, hidden behind a relevant keyword until a user actively requests to see them.
